Posts coming soon, Sable is doing really well. My kitten glop must not be very good, she wasn't interested and neither were the other kitties! She had a blast running around her room and settled in well until she heard Thor (our F1) hiss, he's such a big mouth. Now she is sleeping comfortable in her bed by the window.
Pics tomorrow, I got some good ones tonight. Hopefully she will keep getting stronger and better! I hear a touch of wheezing again tonight but that doesn't really surprise me, she is doing so much better.
Tomorrow, I post about her breeder, Heather Goerdt, Gulf Coast Exotic Felines. The one responsible for Sable's horrible condition and her $1900 vet bill. Just wait for what I have planned for her, she definitely picked the wrong person to screw over. Story tomorrow and I'm posting all the supporting docs showing just what Heather did and how sick Sable is/was.
Please keep us updated on Sable and on action you're taking against the breeder. This was such a sad, sad situation for poor Sable and we can only imagine how many other cats. Thank you for loving Sable so much!
ReplyDeleteRegards,

I was just forwarded your blog from a fellow exotic cat breeder. I deplore abuse of any kind.
ReplyDelete-how was she delivered? Did the breeder just drop her off in that condition?
-did she come with a contract?
-all good breeders offer a health guarantee. Did sable come with one?
Congrats on your beautiful cat! Hope to see more pics soon
I guess the question is whether the health certificate was issued for Sable or another cat brought in to the vet clinic. It is impossible to imagine that the cat that arrived at its destination looked healthy at its departure point.
ReplyDeleteContracts are as good as the people signing them. As to the health guarantee, if you received a cat that was as ill as Sable and that the vets told you had been ill for a long time untreated, would YOU send it back? I don't think I could do that to an animal.

ReplyDeleteWhy is it that someone that has "background in Animal Science and Nursing" would ever allow a vet to give a cat that according to the health cert needed clavamox and was sick, a rabies and distemper shot???? An experienced breeder would not do that but she needed it in order to ship the cat and she knew it. She had already put me off twice so now she had to do something so she went to a different vet, one that she hadn't already tried to get a cat shipped through. He was just dumb enough to sign the cert and do the deed.

ReplyDeleteThe reason a vet would give shots is only one. The cat was in good enough condition to recieve the shots.
ReplyDeleteIn shipping a cat from fl to va it's not just a two hr flight. She would have to be at the airport two hrs in advance, a two hr layover, 4 hrs in air not to mention any delays. So your two hrs quickly becomes 6-8hrs alot can happen during that time . The stress is only the tip of the story.
Lilly states the cat had diarrhea in the carrier so there was a smell no doubt. The shirt was large and clean designed to be thrown away. We did not wear it but it smells like home and this is why it was sent for comfort.
ReplyDeleteOne thing Heather you really need to learn to do...I'm just telling you. Do your homework before you run your mouth.
ReplyDeleteShe didn't have a 4 hour layover. they sent her on an earlier flight and she got there about an hour and 1/2 earlier than her flight was suppose to come in and I went and picked her up early because they called me. So the whole "fed her in Georgia" is just crap and you know it. Oppsy, guess you are wrong again.
She smelled long before she ever messed in the carrier. The shirt was very skimpy and very 1970's junk, you should have put a towel in the carrier. I shouldn't even have to tell you that. You need to clean your house and take care of your animals. If you have too many to take care of, you should have asked someone for help instead of hurting the animals and taking advantage of people.
yeah, a lot can happen in 4 hours...but not what happened to her. You know you can argue this all day long and run your mouth all day long. The evidence is the evidence, the facts are the facts. Your lies and your mouth running doesn't change any of the facts. And I'm going to continue to post about my experience with you everywhere I can find to post. Everyone who searches on your name will know what my experience was with you and they will see the documentation. I'll see you in court. This is far from over, you have already lost.

ReplyDeleteThis woman should be ashamed of herself. She said to me in the past she did dressage with her horses? That is a very pricey sport?! I guess she can't afford flea meds and pays off her vets to write up health certs for animals that shouldn't be allowed to fly? I am a vet tec and I write these up- my vet wouldn't okay a cat like this. I would have been extremely apologetic if I were Heather and allowed you to keep the cat and replace it as well. As far as I can see, Heather of Gulf Coast should crawl under a rock with these excuses of hers and own up. It is a shame to the breeder community.
ReplyDeleteTell you what, Lilli, I will give you a cat. A nice healthy F3. Maybe not right now but email me privately and I can work something out with you. No reason to let this horrible example of a breeder who makes good money off of people like you ruin your dream of being a breeder. It is people like you that should be breeders, not like Gulf Coast and her back-yard doggy breeder friend that has spent their time to insult and attack you because you happened to be the victum of poor animal husbandry. Deplorable!

It is bad enough that a breeder would even ship a cat in that condition, and then for that person to try to justify it is even worse. This person should not be allowed to own pets, much less allowed to breed any animals.
