Heather Goerdt, Bad Breeder Gulf Coast Exotic Felines, Savannah Cats Florida

12 days ago, I posted an open letter to Heather telling her I would be willing to work on a settlement.  I received absolutely no response.  Heather has tried to claim that for months, she tried to settle with me after I received Sable.  This is absolutely untrue.  She tries to prove her claims by showing a certified letter receipt from the post office.  She claims I refused the letter.  I did not.  I simply ignored it.  I did not know who it was from and despite her claims, the post office notification to me did not show who it was from. 

In her claims about this certified letter, she claims it contained an apology and settlement offer.  She has NEVER posted that letter online.  It does not exist.  I believe her certified letter contained a cease and desist which has no legal value as I am legally allowed to post my experiences with a business transaction.  There is no libel here.  This is why she cannot post what the letter actually contained.  This "apology" and "settlement" letter does not exist.  She does not post an apology letter or a settlement letter because then she would be bound by it in the eyes of the public.

So again I reached out to Heather publically and received nothing.  Not a single word.  She is a liar and I have proven that her mother, Melissa Collingwood Goerdt Coleman, is an accomplished liar herself.  She made claims on my blog, on Heather's blog that she was nothing more than a casual friend of Heathers.  Public claims where she denied outright that she was Heather's mother up and until I posted proof otherwise.  Heather's response to my posting was an admittance that this Melissa woman is her mother along with a so what and what business is it of mine...well the so what and what business is it of mine goes to show how callus and unapologetic they both are for their continual lying.  Melissa Collingwood Geordt Coleman continually sent me nasty emails and posted on my blog repeatedly since I received Sable in early April, that is the so what.  That is where it became my business.

Heather's mother was co-owner of Heather's cattery through at least 12/31/2010.  Heather claims that the fictitious filing expired in 2007 (one year later).  Not true.  If you look at the filing that I posted, it expired 12/31/2010. 

I have paid $2818 plus $1997 for Sable and her medical bills caused by the long term neglect of Heather Goerdt Gonzalez.  That is an enormous amount of money to pay for a cat with no papers.  Personally, I question if Heather even has the papers.  However, even pet buyers get papers and I should have papers on Sable.  I have nothing.  As a result of Heather's continual lies and unwillingness to resolve this issue, I have decided that I will now pursue all of my money back to include the vet bills.  I do not believe Heather has the papers and I do not think I will ever get the papers so therefore I will be seeking to be made whole by any means possible.  Because Melissa Collingwood Goerdt Coleman was an owner on record at the time I signed the contract with Heather, I will be pursuing her as well for financial damages.

I have proven repeatedly that Heather sent me a cat near death and extremely ill.  I have proven that heather has maintained a very dirty and sick cattery causing great damage to property.  I have proven she has a history of fraud and misrepresentation involving animals.  I have proven her and her mother have no problem lying repeatedly.  I have proven all of this with facts and documentation.  Others have asked me to post their story about Heather and her cats in order to warn others of her.  There are more people who have gotten sick cats from her.  There is nothing I have stated that I have not backed up with documentation.  I have tried repeatedly to settle this with Heather, 2 other people have stepped in trying to settle this with Heather and she refuses.  Despite her claims, she has not ever once reached out to me to settle this.  It was because of me that others stepped in to try and resolve this and each time Heather was uncooperative and expected me to foot the bill on a sick cat.  A cat sick due to her long term neglect.

All I can say is if you are reading this and you are considering buying a cat from her, beware.  You have been warned.   Look at the documentation throughout all my postings and consider if this is how you would like to be treated?  Because what she does to me, she will do to you.  I am not the first, I will not be the last.  Her habits of animal neglect, fraud, and misrepresentation span over a period of years.  She will not change and she will do this again.  And to those that have sold her cats or are considering selling her cats.  Read the statement from the Cleaners that I posted.  That is the environment your cats live in.  Heather's pleas of innocence, misunderstandings, and exaggerations by the people who have sued her hoping to recover some of their damages is simply another lie, consider that if indeed Heather is telling the truth and she is just a victim, that would mean:

- 2 people who won a 15k judgement on a sick and misrepresented horse would have lied
- 2 people who owned a house severely damaged by her and her cats that required extensive repairs and a great loss of their own property also would have had to conspire and lie.  They would have had to manage to get multiple repairmen to conspire and lie and house cleaners to conspire and lie along with some of the neighbors as well
- multiple people who have gotten her cats in the past all would have to be lying about how sick they were and the obvious behavioral issues the cats have
- myself along with 4 vets and multiple vet techs and admin staff (about 20 people) would all have to be lying.  This same vet staff is one of the top vet practices in the DC area and is used by at least 3 top savannah breeders that I can think of
- those here that have seen Sable would also have to be lying

And this doesn't list the additional domestic cases that are against both her and her mother that I have not listed - another one involving someone that was cheated out of money.

That's a lot of people all of whom don't even know each other all conspiring against poor little Heather.  Why would all these people conspire against her?  They wouldn't.  Good luck if you get a cat from her....I will be pursing her and her mother in the courts and will add yet another public court document to their pages of court cases they already have against them.  At this point, it is a matter of principal.

Second Lawsuit Heather Goerdt, Gulf Coast Exotic Felines, Bad Savannah Breeder in Florida

A horse named Noah:

In yet another lawsuit involving Heather, she lost and the defendant won on their counterclaim.  This involved a horse.  Heather was found to be liable for Fraud and Misrepresentation regarding a horse.  It appears that she lied about the titles on the horse...gee, does that sound familiar.  The horse was sick as well and required quite a lot of care.  Again, no surprise there.

The defendant's received a $13,000+ judgement and the attorney received another $2000+ in attorney's fees!  Very unusual that the court awards attorneys fees.  It's even more unusual for an attorney to take represent a defendant on a contingency basis!  That tells me there was a very strong case against heather.

It comes as no shock to me that Heather was found liable for fraud and misrepresentation on yet another animal.  I wonder how many times Heather is going to whine that claims against her are "exaggerated".  She sure gets sued a lot and loses for someone that nothing is ever her fault.  Even when she sues, she loses.

There are more lawsuits and claims against her and her mother, Melissa Goerdt Coleman, going back to 2002 mostly of a domestic nature.

I know that Heather watches this blog.  I tried to post a response to her comment on her blog however it would not allow me to post, so I will post it here:

Heather, regarding the certified letter, you have never once posted what you sent.  Where is a copy of this apology/settlement letter?  You have never posted it.  No one knows really what was in that certified letter, you have never shown it.  All you can say is that you sent SOMETHING.  No one has ever publically seen it.  At this point, does this really matter?????

Heather, why should I pay the vet bills to bring Sable to a healthy condition.  This was a condition you guaranteed in the contract.  I didn't make her sick.  I was to receive a healthy cat.  I didn't.  What is this $1000 you keep saying that I owe you?  I don't owe you $1000.  As I have said many times, it is $700 due to you when and if Sable became pregnant.  You even show that on your contract that you posted so I don't get where you are getting $1000 from????  I was willing to credit the $700 EVEN though she is not proven so I was giving you that credit before it was even due.  Also, I was giving you the credit for the chargeback that went through.  The pending chargeback was also being credited which left a balance on the vet bills that you would owe me of $229 (this after giving the papers) and I was also willing to credit that just because $229 isn't worth fighting over but you are the one that stopped the negotiation not me over that $450 pending chargeback.  All this crap over $450 when I had already conceded money that I really am not responsible for just to resolve this situation but then you are the one that stopped negotiating, not me.  I believe the chargeback is being credited to me so all the objections you made were for nothing.

Part of what ticks me off about you so much is your lying.  YOu don't help yourself by doing so.  You have not tried to work with me at all.  YOu sent one certified letter that you will not post, that you CLAIM was a settlement and apology but you won't post it.  Outside of that letter, you have never once contacted me after finding out Sable was sick.  Not once.  If you can show otherwise with hard evidence and not just words, I would be very interested in seeing it.

I am telling you now for all to see, I am prepared to work on a settlement with you. I have tried 3 times to resolve this with you and you have rebuffed or rejected each attempt. That would put the ball in your court.  I do have more documents to post.  I will hold off for a period of time in the hopes that you choose to settle this however I feel if you are not willing to settle, then I have a right to post my unhappiness with our business and warn others of how I have been treated.

First Lawsuit against Heather Goerdt et al Bad Breeder Gulf Coast Exotic Felines

This is a lawsuit filed against Heather and her mother/step-father.  They rented a property and Heather lived there only 8 months and in the process she managed to do a great deal of damage to the house and the property owned by the home owner.  The house was provided "turn-key" furnished which means the rental came with everything a tenant would need other than personal items such as clothes and toiletries.  Heather's cattery was so poorly maintained that the cats urinated and defecated on everything from the floor/carpet to furniture to lampshades.  There was snot all over the walls, in some locations as high up as 10 feet.  Obviously, the cats were sick to be blowing snot everywhere.  The house was also infested with fleas.  Many items that belonged to the house were also missing upon move out.  There are also allegations made by neighbors that saw over 40 cages in the garage.  Evidence submitted by Heather!  She denies this claiming there weren't that many cages...I thought all her cats had the run of the house freely?

The documents I am posting are again available to the public and are really upsetting.  One document is a statement by the cleaners that cleaned the property as Heather was moving out.  Their statement is really eye opening to the type of conditions in Heather's cattery.  One of the more interesting notations is that this statement was totally unsolicited by the home owner meaning the cleaners were so appalled by the conditions that they sought out the home owner to give a statement as to the conditions.  And the conditions are quite disturbing.  I can not imagine living in an environment so awful especially being a cat that is caged in such an environment. 

The home owner won the lawsuit and received a judgement of over $5000.00 of which they have never been able to collect from Heather, her mother, or her step-father.  It is disgusting to me that anyone would trash another person's house and belongings and then not make any restitution but instead feel they were justified in treating anybody in that manner let alone their animals that they claim to love so much.  The documents I read in this lawsuit of the conditions in the home absolutely made me sick.

Statement from the house cleaners hired by Heather et al, note the comments that some of the cats were in cages in the garage.  I can not imagine having to live under these circumstances especially as a caged cat. 

The following 3 pages are itemized details of the damage done to the property, the home owner's furnishings, and the repair/replacement costs. 

Final Judgement against Heather, Melissa Coleman, and Michael Coleman:

Heather appealed and the appeal was dismissed:

SOME of the invoices received and submitted into evidence by the home owners.  Note many of the invoices reference the terrible smells and conditions from the urine and feces.  Up to and including in the A/C system!  All this in 8 months residency.  Unbelievable.

Invoice from the A/C company to try and remove the smell from the house and A/C system.  Note, his comments on the invoice, "very bad smell", "smell of cat urine very bad in house, garage, & A/C", "caused by unsanitary conditions", "entire house is permeated with smell of cat urine, treating house with ultravation system is only way we have of removing smells and airborn germs from house".  All I can say is Wow.

Invoice from Pressure cleaning and paint company showing they had to chlorinate the walls and use a deodorizer on the walls prior to painting.

  

Invoice from the tile and grout specialist clearly stating the "overwhelming odor of pet urine and multiple stains on the tile and grout from pet urine throughout the entire house."

 

Additionally, there are pictures of the damage.  I am looking now into getting copies of those pictures and I will post them once received.

Heather Goerdt Gulf Coast Exotic Felines another sick cat

The following is testimony from two people who received a sick cat from Heather.  I am not displaying their names as I'm sure Heather will respond blasting their name anyway.  This is from a very well respected International breeder.  It took over 13 months for her to receive the cat and the cat arrived sick, extremely thin (no shocker there) and shaved.  Heather sold the cat as an F2, no one believes this cat is an F2 including me.  The owner states that the cat doesn't even look like the cat she purchased.  The cat had all kinds of medical issues, the breeders emails and attempts to contact Heather went unanswered.  Typical of Heather.  Here is her testimony:

it needes 13 months from the first contact till.

The day, when Lilly arrived here in Munich - really in the last hours betore the CITES did run out.

Heather find always new causes, why we couldn`t get Lilly earlier.

I knew that she was lieing, but I couldn`t do nothing from here in Germany, far away from the USA.

We are not the only ones here in Germany with a big damage. Done by Heather Goerdt.

Lilly -that poor cat, she was not guilty - was not at all a F2, per haps a F4 ? - much to light for her age-

2,6 kg and also to small for a 18- month old cat. 

And she was very ill.

Her coat was shaved, I think for a ultrasound -  why? - which soon turned out - they got one phyometra in Germany, had a damaged kidney, it had to be removed to a second ureter.

I could not breed with her, so I have let neutralized.

Much mony for all the medical treatments and operations.

If anyone could reach, the Heather Goerdt would taken away the license for  cat.breeding, that would be a great gift for all the american serious breeders.

She is really a shame!! "

This same cat went on to live with a good friend of the person who wrote the above.  No one could handle this cat from day one particularly if you are a male.  And it's interesting, I have the same issue with Sable from day one, Heather's cats do not like men.  I can only imagine why.  Heather was also notified about all these issues with this cat but as usual, there was no response.

Lilly was born on 11/10/2009. Her father was Bundas Titus of Gulf and her mother A1 Savannah Shala of Gulf.

Lilly has been raised by Heather Gordt - her breeder.

I dont´t know anything about Lillys´ first two years but one day Heather posted some photos of Lilly on her HP and told that she is a F2 savannah cat raised in her house and good socialized. The price was about $ 5000 for breeders.

A german breeder has seen the nice picture and asked for more informations. The breeder is one of the biggest Savannah cat breeders in Germany.

The photos were very nice and Lilly looked like a normal, healthy F2 cat.

So the breeders agreed on the sale of Lilly and the shipping to Germany. I don´t know exactly how the things were going on but it took some months until Lilly was shipped to Germany. Heather told several times that the shipping was not possible.

At least 2010 Lilly arrived on the airport in Munich. The german breeder got a shock when she saw the cat. Lilly was very very thin, her belly was shaved and she was not looking like an F2 Savannah cat. She was extremly scared and only woman could touch her.

Lilly is really small even smaller than my normal cats and the half of my F4 Savannah cat I got from a german breeder.

The cat was not looking very healthy. The next months Lilly was living with the german breeder but she was isolated of other cats because it was not sure that she is not sick.

All examinations were ok and LIlly was eating fresh meat. Heather has given her Hills dried fodder.

She was becoming stronger and was able to jump on chairs. In emergency Lilly had to be neutered after some months because she had relapsing uterus infections.

So the breeder looked for a new place for Lilly and asked me to take her.

Also I already have two cats - one normal rescue cat and one F4 Savannah I took her to our house because she was still very shy and didn´t look like a normal Savannah cat with her round head ( like a Burmese cat) and her sausage dog legs.  :-) She loved me from the first second. I took her in my arms and she was happy ... so I took her home.

The first days she was lying in my bed and was afraid of everything. After 1 week she started to explore the house and after 3 weeks she started to terrorize our cats. First she attacked our normal cat and then she male Savannah cat.

Now Lilly is queen of the house - our male cat is living in the other gardens and we can´t leave him alone with her all night because otherwise the whole house is full of pee of the two cats.

Sheila our other cat has her own locked rooms in another part of the house.

It´s really difficult but I we have hired an animal psychologist and she told us that Lilly has probably raised in a cage and she is not socialized to other cats. Perhaps she was taken from her mother too early.

For sure Lilly is no F2 Cat perhaps even no Savannah. I don´t know this exactly but I think if somebody is looking to the photos of our cat they can pass their verdicts to this cat on their own. Several Savannah breeders told me that this is perhaps a Bengal cat or even a mix but surely no F2 and if she a F2 she must be very very sick - perhaps she is the result of inbreeding. ( this is the opinion of the animal clinic. )

The breeder had the same problem. She never answered to telephone calls or E Mails.

I love my cat - I am the only person who can touch her - my husband is not able to touch her after one year also he gives her her food every day. She is running away and hiss. I don´t know why it´s like this but the german breeder she was living before told me the same.

But it´s difficult and our live has changed a lot.

I really can advise everyone who wants to buy a Savannah cat to look very good to the breeder and to visit the cat in the house of the breeder. I don´t think that shipping is a good idea. ( this is my personal opinion) I hope I can help with these words that no other cats are suffering any more."

visited several veterinaries but at least the ultrasonic showed that

there was an ectopic ureter from the bladder to the vagina.

So she lost the pee all the time and infections where going up to the

kidneys. One kidney was already dead and didn´t work any more.

So I decided to get her operated. All the examinations and the surgery

was very expensive.

I contacted Heather via E Mail and told her about these results and

mentioned that she should take care of further babies.

The veterinary told me that this are signs of inbreeding.

I never got any response of Heather.

So I contacted me best friend Lisa in Cape Coral and asked her to visit

her home. I have seen another very thin and sick looking cat on the HP

of Heather and I wanted to get more informations.

As Lisa has told me she contacted the animal shelter but I have no

further informations.

This are all the results - Lilly is feeling very good after the surgery

and I am thankful that this animal can live with us. She is very

difficult and doesn´t like other cats - we have a lot of problems with

her but we are doing our best."

Lilly is a really nice and pretty cat but after some days she started to terrorize the other cats. She tried to hunt them and when our black cat from Cape Coral was running away she tried to bite her. Our Male cat is completly ennerved and started to spray everywhere.

She is very dominant. We are working with an animal psychologist and it´s becomming better.

But she told me that Lilly was surely encaged for a longer time and that she didn´t had any social contacts when she was younger.

It am not sure if this is right - this are only the words of the psychologist."
